Northwoods Friends Of The Arts, which has been in existence here for 15 years, has a mission statement of inspiring, nurturing and celebrating the arts.

My name is Vicki Lupica.

I work with the board of directors here and also the website and marketing of the gallery.

The photos are Up North Reflections is the theme of this year's photo contest.

And so we asked everyone to do their their best interpretation.

So we might see something like the Northern Lights.

We might see something like, a fall tree, an animal, a wolf, dogs.

So it could be the lake.

Reflections on the lake of, the sunset or the sunrise.

So it's whatever someone's interpretation of up north reflections is.

the gallery supports classes for people of all ages and abilities, whether you want to come in on Thursdays and learn how to whittle wood or a carve wood.

We have a free wood carving, seminar every or id say a class, every every Thursday, from 10 until 12 p.m.. I'm in awe of the work people do, whether it's something, like a table where the entire top was made out of, painted eggshells, or a photo that we had last year of a bobcat sitting inside a deer carcass, in the snow, just camouflaged in there.
