Melissa Hunter’s grandmother was born in Poland to a family with eight children. Her grandmother was deported and interned in seven camps. After the war, she found her brother, the only other member of their family to survive. Larry Werthaiser’s parents were both survivors from Poland and he was born in a DP Camp. They came to Cincinnati by train – and arrived at Union Terminal – in 1950.
