Al Miller was born in Germany. He was sent to Switzerland and his brother was sent to London in 1939. After Kristallnacht, his mother managed to get Visas from the Belgium Consulate. The family was reunited in London and came to the US in 1940. Al joined the United States Army and was trained to interrogate German prisoners. He lights his candle for his family and those who could not escape.
